Slavičín
Slavičín is a charming town in the Valašsko region of Moravia, located near the border with Slovakia. The town is part of the Bílé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area, which is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Slavičín has a long history of footwear manufacturing, particularly connected to the Baťa company.

Gymnázium Jana Pivečky a Stření odborná škola Slavičín
The local multi-year general secondary school, Gymnázium Jana Pivečky, was founded in 1992 and was named after Jan Pivečka, a notable patron and close associate of Tomáš Baťa. In 2003, it merged with a vocational school, expanding its educational offerings. The school now provides programs in fields such as IT, mechatronics, automotive mechanics, plumbing, and electrical engineering. Currently, there are approximately [number] students enrolled.
Since 2015, the school has been involved in Erasmus projects, allowing students to gain international experience. After completing their studies at the gymnasium, many students go on to pursue higher education at universities.
